这怎么越看越别扭呢？你到底是想说 EXPECT 还是 EXCEPT 啊？
我认为这句话应该这么说:AND ENGLISH IS NEVER USED EXCEPT FOR TESTS.
AND I AGREE WITH YOU ANYWAY...

“尔虞我诈”的话很地道，一点也不别扭，倒是楼主的E语语感还欠火候。楼主这么一说干巴巴的，一点味道也没有仅仅达意而已。

或者应该这么说:

and English is never used except for when you are expecting a test on it.
