A lucky number 919 gives Mr. Bean a free tour to Cannes, as well as a DV made in Japan.
He set out with his award by a Eurostar train. He is so happy and shoots everything, including his funny face.
His first stop is Paris.
But it seems that Mr. Bean can’t wait to go to Cannes and enjoy the beautiful beaches there.
However, he misses the first train to Cannes because he gets his tie stuck to the vending machine. When he comes into a restaurant to have his lunch, an old waiter recommends him a seafood platter. Bean hates seafood, but he doesn’t know how to refuse the warm-hearted waiter. His French is poor. The taste of the seafood makes him sick, so he eats a lobster in a terrible way and puts the oysters into a lady’s handbag. The lady screams aloud and Bean runs away.
At the station, he asks a man to shoot him with the DV and gets/makes him failed to get on the train. His son, a Russian boy, is already on the train. So Bean has to try his best to cheer the boy up and to find his father who has got on another train and hopes to meet them at the next stop.
They do everything to make money for their ride to Cannes after absent-minded Bean loses his passport and wallet. They beg money at the station and perform opera at the fair. At last, they set out to Cannes with the help of a kind actress who is going to take part in the Cannes Film Festival. After a long, tiring drive, they get to Cannes! Then they find that they are wanted by the police. The boy’s father, a famous Russian director, who thinks Bean a kidnapper, has called the police.
Fortunately, they get over it. The boy gets his parents and the girl becomes famous. And Bean comes to his dream beaches! A wonderful holiday begins!
In my opinion, Bean is a lovely guy who behaves in a fuuny way but owns a golden heart. He never gives up following his dreams.
